Schedule/Hours:

Contract assignment

Qualifications:

Active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
At least one year of recent experience in MedSurg/Tele nursing
Proficient with cardiac rhythm interpretation, management of PCA pumps, wound care, surgical drains, and TR bands
Comfortable working with Cardizem, Nitro, and Amiodarone drips or willing to learn
Experience with Epic EMR, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Alaris IV pumps preferred
Travel nursing experience beneficial, but enthusiastic first-time travelers also considered

Responsibilities:

Manage a typical patient ratio of 1:5, caring for patients with medical, respiratory, GI, cardiac, and neuro diagnoses, including pre- and post-surgical care
Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists to ensure continuity of care
Interpret and monitor bedside cardiac strips; manage blood glucose checks and safety rounds with team support
Initiate peripheral blood draws and start IVs as needed
Use departmental resources efficiently—including EMR, medication dispensing, and telemetry monitoring—to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Adhere to unit protocols and uphold high standards of patient safety and satisfaction
